Armagh Public Library is one of four museums in Armagh and is located beside No. 5 Vicar’s Hill and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral (Church of Ireland).
Founded in 1771 by Archbishop Richard Robinson, it is the oldest library in Northern Ireland. It contains many rare and valuable books including ones from the 17th and 18th century.
Armagh Public Library also contains objects such as gems, coins, prints, Irish artefacts and so on.
