Rathlin Island - About

Rathlin Island is a quiet and peaceful location just off the north coast of Northern Ireland. The Island is teeming with stunning views and plenty of wildlife.

There is much to do. You have the option of walking from one end of the island to the other, camping there overnight, taking a trip on the tour bus and learning about the history of the island, relaxing by the beach, hire a bike and cycling around the island, bird watching or trying to find some of the wildlife. Why not try and see how close you can get to the seals?

One of the things that you must do in Rathlin is visit the Puffin Sanctuary. It is an unforgettable experience. There, you will be able to view the puffins and many other birds in their natural habitats. There are so many species that it can be difficult to see the cliff face. And the noise of the birds is something that you will not expect.

If you plan to visit Rathlin Island it is worth spending the day there. You can get the ferry across from Ballycastle.
